Julia Palevich earned a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology with honors from San Francisco State University. She also completed a certified AAC program through Program Building Bridges, through which she received specialized local and international training in AAC. During her academic years, she served as an aphasia lab manager and contributed to published research on bilingual aphasia. Early in her career, Julia gained clinical experience in private practice, which allowed her to work with individuals across the lifespan and a range of speech and language diagnoses, while her passion remained centered on AAC. She currently works with school-aged clients who use AAC and supports families and caregivers in prioritizing communication in each child's life, while also providing tools and skills to support this journey through evidence-based practices. Julia speaks both English and Russian and, informed by her cultural background, is passionate about working with individuals and families from diverse cultural and linguistic communities.
