"I am passionate about Early Intervention. I am passionate about AAC.
I thrive in advocating for families and their children. I embrace teaching social pragmatics and social-emotional literacy. I have compassion, respect and patience for the immigrant families I work with whose first language is not English. I have a firm understanding of how difficult it is to maintain their heritage language in a society dominated by English. I also believe that literacy should be infused in any and ALL opportunities. Show kids the letters of language - in any order; at any time!
My creed as an SLP and an AAC Specialist regarding how I interact with students and families, is the same as how I treat my co-workers - Let's work. Let's listen. Let's laugh and have fun. Let's adjust. Let's communicate.
I have had many rich philanthropic opportunities and I have studied over six languages, in addition to my first Master's in Linguistics. Being an SLP is an ideal fusion of altruism, language and compassion."
